San Diego Shooting Support Resources

What happened at the Islamic Center of San Diego is horrific and heartbreaking. I hope we can hold each other up during this incredibly difficult time.

Please share the resources below with anyone who may need them.

May God accept the three brothers we lost, grant full healing to the wounded, and bring peace and comfort to all the families affected and the Ummah. — Ameen.

National Healing Circle

After hearing the devastating news about the tragic shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego, many Muslims across North America are grieving.

We mourn alongside our brothers and sisters in the San Diego community. At the same time, many of us are carrying complicated feelings of fear, anxiety, and uncertainty.

“Could this happen in my community?”

“How do I talk to my children about this? Should I talk to them at all?”

“Are we safe?”

In response, we invite you to join experts from Maristan, Noor Kids, CAIR-San Diego, CAIR-National, Sukoon and AMALY for Healing Together: Responding to the San Diego Tragedy.

This virtual gathering is designed for Muslim adults seeking guidance, grounding, and support in the wake of this tragedy. Together, we will explore how to navigate fear, stress, and uncertainty through faith, community care, and practical tools for families.

The event will be held on Thursday, May 21st at 6:00 PM PST. Registration is free, and a replay will be sent to all families who register.

Please note: This event is intended for adults ages 18 and above.

Mental Health Resources List

You’re not meant to do this alone.

We all move through seasons that feel heavier than others—moments of uncertainty, stress, grief, or just the quiet ache of being human in a complex world.

That’s why having access to supportive mental health resources matters so much.

This list includes free, accessible services—whether you're looking for someone to talk to, needing a moment of grounding, or searching for ongoing support. Some are 24/7 hotlines, others are identity-affirming spaces, and all are here to remind you: your feelings are valid, and support exists. Save it. Share it with someone who might need it.

Keep it close—it’s okay to reach out. There’s strength in asking for help. There’s care in offering it.

This is a small way to make both a little more possible.
